I’m going to try and keep this as short and sweet as possible, but I received my Italian citizenship yesterday and I’m overjoyed, so accordingly, there will be words to follow. My family was forced to revoke their Italian citizenship due to the laws in the United States at the time of immigration. My Nonna, who is now 97 years old, was my inspiration for all of this. The idea that anyone should have had to give up on their heritage and birthright in order to have a US passport is an absolute tragedy. This line of thought is what led me to Aprigliano’s legal team. After a brief and cost-free zoom, I was told that I am eligible. Easy as that. Over the next 1.5 years, I worked with Aprigliano’s team to secure my passport. Sure, hunting down my family‘s paperwork and documentation after almost 70 years of life and chaos was no picnic, however, this legal team made everything feel so much breezier for me. Between Virginia, Sarka and Salvatore Aprigliano himself, I was assured relatively often along the way that everything would go to plan. Will you receive an email every single day from them? Absolutely not. Especially if you live in the United States, there is a big time difference and they’re a busy team! But anytime I ever had a question, it was never left hanging. And I was always set at ease, even when laws started changing which could greatly affect my eligibility. At the time of my application, they offered a discount if the legal fees were paid upfront. Naturally, I chose the discounted route and I was even told I could add-on family members on if they decided they would like to join me in the quest for Italian citizenship. In the end, my family members decided against it, though I am still unsure why, because it’s so freeing to know that you have not only legal ties to your lineage but also a wide open path to receiving healthcare and governmental support. I know that this review is getting long, but I just cannot say enough good things about this law firm.

They fought for me for five and a half years, dealing with Argentinian, American and Italian bureaucracy, including the court in Rome and the municipality in Campania, not to mention the difficult Houston consulate, until I finally got my Italian Passport (jus sanguine). Highly recommended!!!
